Wednesday Jan.21st, I was on the Leadership Limb with my good friend, Jim Green of Building Bridges 4 Life. He focuses on helping others and building people learn more about themselves. Jim invited me on board for the 30 minute radio show on WLBQ 101.5Q. I always feel welcome on the show and enjoy what we teach and share with our listeners. It is said, Hell is meeting the person you should have been, but didn’t decide to be. Have you met that person? I have. It’s upset me, but I’ve learned we have an “AND” life. He can have a great life AND I can have a great life. We can be charitable AND Rich. We can help others AND be well off. We can sacrifice AND have a great life. Our Goals are still there AND we can reach them.

Don’t rely upon things to make you happy. To obtain your future and create what you want, you must become that thing. If you want money, then you must become a person who attracts money. If you want to be happy, it’s not from “getting” something, it’s from Being happy. We all have had moments where we say, “If I had that, then I would be this.” Wrong idea. The correct idea is to be what you desire. It’s not easy, but we must become to obtain.

Together We Can Bring More Money to Our Town by spreading out advertising. We can help our employees by giving them a benefits package. We can help each other by growing OUR business and working TOGETHER getting outside money to our town. My plan calls for each of our businesses connect with the outside world and then helping our employees save and earn on their own. Greatness is within us and sharing that greatness will get others to spend their money with us.

Don’t let the trials and tribulations of life derail you from what you are building. Your family needs you to focus on the path that is in front of you to enlighten them. The path to a great future for them and you. But, if we let the sickness get in and the self-limiting beliefs in, the distractions can hurt you and your progress. As Winston Churchill said, “When you are going thru Hell…Keep Going.” Don’t take your eyes off the big picture and the long term. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

We can be too selfish. We can let our fears and insecurities stop us from helping others because of our belief of what others may belief. Fear is in our head and we are being selfish by not letting others know how we can help them. Our self-limiting beliefs get in the way of changing someone’s life when we are scared to talk and share what we have for them. Don’t let your fears control you. Do what you fear and they will go away and you will help others.

We are what we think about and what we think about becomes our habits. What we do over and over again becomes what we are. If we are repeating Great things, the we are great, but if we repeat mediocre things, then we are mediocre. Average is learned…but so is Excellence. Find and repeat your great habits and others will follow. Don’t wait for tomorrow. Today is when you start being your true self.
