So many things going on. Dad’s been fighting cancer and my wife is working in Pennsylvania. I’m not longer at Camping World, but with this change I’m splitting my time with Kentucky and Pennsylvania. This has allowed me to focus on my resell business and my Ebay store.

This is my first Silver level Toastmasters Impromptu speech. Before the speech, I choose 5 different topics I have experience with and write them down on paper. At random, my evaluator picks out one for me to give a 5-7 minute talk on.

Training and practice in impromptu speaking builds your confidence and expands your abilities as an effective communicator. Look for opportunities to get experience in this area so you will be better able to express your ideas in the various meetings, sessions, classes, clubs, and conferences in which you participate.

The topic is Podcasting and this is a quick overview of why I enjoy listening to podcasts.

This is my Entertaining Speech from the Professional Speaker’s series. It wasn’t the easist speech. I learned it’s best to treat this like a stand-up routine. That’s not easy of course, but for me it just felt right to get the story style going and try for laughs which is what the speech wants you to focus on.
